Biography

Steffen Kachinsky
Steffen Kachinsky, born April 1st, 1992, was born a foster child.  2 days after birth, his current and most beloved parents have cared for and adopted him 2 years later.  Born and raised in Michigan, Steffen quickly discovered music and took a great interest.  After being on stage with both The Village People and the Detroit Spinners, Steffen took a great interest in music and wanted to learn the piano.  At age six, Steffen started learning and still plays to this day.  Steffen's primary instrument is the piano.  He have been playing and learning piano for almost fourteen years.  His music is more instrumental than most typical genres.  Steffen currently is a student at Lansing Community College, receiving transfer credits for a good composition university.  Steffen has a tendency to randomly improvise and take great interest in a melody he hears.  "Whatever new idea comes out of your fingers, never waste it!  Dear God, you would be nuts to tarnish such a birth!"  Steffen may not know everything about theory and composition, but he is one of those musicians/composers that do not "follow the rules".  He believes the laws of music are meant to be broken in order to express our souls fully.  Steffen greatly believes music should be brought out with enough form and structure, but with the majority of emotion and expression.  His music has a sort of romantic feel.  Steffen's true goal in music is to become a complete composer.  To write music for popular songs, instrumental popular music, scores for orchestras, films, and video games.
